Today’s fashion is the Denim Shiftdress from Madewell and the font, appropriately, is Hand Gothic. I love this chambray dress, don’t you? It’s sweet and simple, as is Hand Gothic, a tall, clean sans serif font perfect for titling captions such as this one. I’ve even considered using Hand Gothic as my new banner font. But, updating the banner for the blog would mean updating the Pugly Pixel banner on the homepage and the Facebook page, my Paypal check out pages, the membership sign up page, and FeedBlitz, and the thought of doing all that stuff just made me feel very lazy… maybe another time.

By the way, if you’re looking for a free desktop font similar to Hand Gothic, I think that Open Sans Condensed is a good alternative. It has an especially nice italic variant, which is a rare find in free san serif fonts. Best of all, Open Sans Condensed is available as a webfont that can be used in your websites.
